How you can help
YOU CAN HELP LEEWAY! Are you interested in leaning more about Leeway and how you can join us in the fight against HIV/AIDS? We need your help. It's easy and incredibly rewarding to get involved and make a difference. There are many ways for individuals, companies and organizations to support Leeway. As a non-profit organization, Leeway and its residents benefit from the generosity of countless individuals in the following ways:

Individual Donations
DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE!! You can make a financial contribution directly to help support Leeway. Check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program. Your gift can be doubled through this program. Talk to your company's Human Resources department about supporting Leeway.

Corporate Sponsorships
Leeway continues to seek relationships with local, state and national companies and businesses to continue the much-needed work done here are our facility. If you would like to learn more about the opportunities for your company to partner with Leeway please contact Nikki Besitko.

Special Event Participation
We currently host two annual Special Event Fundraisers, A Night at the Academy Awards¨ and The Mickey Pallotto Open Golf Tournament. Committees work to ensure the success of these events. If you would like to be a part of one of these committees or would like to volunteer at one of the Special Events please contact the Development Department.

Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer your time It's FUN! Volunteers help in many essential ways. In order to reach our goals and achieve our mission, we need you! Opportunities include working with our residents (reading, teaching a skill, going on an outing), volunteering with mailings and office work, working on a fundraising committee, and much more! We need volunteers throughout the year to help with our programs. If you are interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities please contact us at info@leeway.net.

Student Internships
Leeway utilizes a variety of internships each semester in multiple departments. If you are interested in learning more about the internship opportunities here at Leeway, please email info@leeway.net.

Skill /Talent Donations
Leeway is seeking individual or groups that would like to share their talents with our residents. The residents at Leeway learn life skills and are taught new talents, for rehabilitation and continued living.

  • Dancer: line dancing, salsa, African, jazz, etc.
  • Musician: Perform for residents, play solo, give lesson, share history
  • Exercise: lead small classes, walk residents around neighborhood, simple stretching, yoga, tai chi
  • Arts & Crafts: knit, crochet, mosaic, holiday crafts, mobiles, etc.
  • Reading: to bed bound residents, help with book club, current events, trivia
  • Gardening: skills
  • Cooking/baking: skills
  • Manicures, beauty treatments
  • Journaling
  • GED study group, tutoring
  • Play cards or board games
  • Escort on out-trips
  • Personal one-to-one "buddy" volunteer (with one specific resident)
  • Computer Skills
  • Bird watching knowledge
  • Advocacy/legislative education-information
Wish-list Donations
Leeway accepts In-kind donations that help to keep our costs at a minimum and help to better the lives of our residents. These items may be tax deductible. Here is Leeway's current "Wish List":
