On behalf of Leeway’s staff, board of directors, and the residents, we would like to extend our sincere thanks for everyone that supported The Fifth Annual A Night At The Academy Awards® For Leeway held in New Haven this year. Together we raised over $30,000!
Without your help that evening, the event would never have been the big success it was! We began the evening’s festivities with a wine, champagne and appetizer reception at the Criterion Cinemas on Temple Street. Our dinner guests then made their way down the red carpet to the Amalfi Grille where they enjoyed a magnificent dinner and helped us applaud the work of Ann Nyberg, our Honorary Chairperson. Leeway presented Ms. Nyberg with our very own Oscar for Best Performance in a Leading Role for Leeway for her compassion and ongoing commitment to some of our most vulnerable citizens. Dinner guests were then joined at the Criterion Cinemas by over 120 “Featured Players” who all came to watch the Academy Awardsâ on the big-screen. While at the Cinemas, patrons enjoyed desserts, coffee, wine and champagne while they placed their bids on our luxury silent auction items.
Leeway was thankful once again to have News Channel 8 and Shore Publishing as our Co-Media Sponsors and also for all the promotion that they and the New Haven Register provided for the event.
