Al Masciocchi, Board Chair, holds a BS in Economics from the
Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. He is a Fellow
in the Society of Actuaries and a member of the American
Academy of Actuaries. After a 20 year career at Ætna
Insurance Company, he is now a consulting actuary in the
group health insurance field. Al and his wife Catherine
Gobes reside in West Hartford. Al joined the Leeway Board in
1988, has served on the Finance and Executive committees,
and became Chair of the Board in September, 2006.
Martha Dale, Leeway's Executive Director, has a Masters in Public Health from Yale. She came to Leeway with significant continuing care, retirement community and skilled nursing home administrative experience. Martha is also the Program Director for Long-Term Care Administration at the University of New Haven where she teaches; and an avid bicyclist. She organizes teams of riders for Tanqueray's Northeast AIDS Ride each year.
Dr. Peter Selwyn, an AIDS specialist, is Leeway's Medical Director. He is also Professor and Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Montefiore Hospital and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, and a faculty member at Yale School of Medicine since 1991. His career parallels the advancement of HIV/AIDS, a story skillfully told in his book "Surviving the Fall."
Susan Molde, MSN, APRN, Director of Patient Care Services. Also one of the founding spirits of Leeway, Susan is an advance practice registered nurse practitioner (APRN) and a licensed nursing home administrator. She leads a staff of 42 nurses and certified nursing assistants who provide expert nursing care round-the-clock to Leeway's residents.
