Martha G. Dale
With twenty-nine years of health-care experience, Martha Dale has been the
Executive Director of Leeway, Inc, Connecticut’s only freestanding
AIDS-dedicated skilled nursing facility since 1998. She is also a Lecturer
in the Health Management program at the Yale University School of Medicine
and in this capacity has been a member of the Ethiopian Hospital Management
Initiative of Yale University and the Clinton Foundation. A resident of
Bloomfield, Martha is a graduate of Smith College and has earned a Masters
of Public Health from Yale University. Martha serves on many Boards
including: Armsmear, the Colt Bequest, (CT); Association of Yale Alumni of
Public Health; Corporation for Independent Living (CT); and was a founding
member of Connecticut Women in Health Care Management. Prior to her
appointment at Leeway, Martha has also served as the Executive Director of
Woodlake at Tolland (CT) nursing facility, Executive Director of Duncaster
in Bloomfield, CT and a Vice President at Hartford Hospital.
Dr. Peter Selwyn, an AIDS specialist, is Leeway's Medical Director. He is also Professor and Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Montefiore Hospital and Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, and a faculty member at Yale School of Medicine since 1991. His career parallels the advancement of HIV/AIDS, a story skillfully told in his book "Surviving the Fall."
Susan Molde, MSN, APRN, Director of Patient Care Services. Also one of the founding spirits of Leeway, Susan is an advance practice registered nurse practitioner (APRN) and a licensed nursing home administrator. She leads a staff of 42 nurses and certified nursing assistants who provide expert nursing care round-the-clock to Leeway's residents.
